BHRUT - Six week wait for routine paediatric bloods.
BHRUT have advised that there is currently a six week wait for routine paediatric bloods. In the meantime space has been made available on Dahlia ward at KGH, and is being created as a location on Swiftqueue to help ease waiting times.

Blood bottle supply update: normal testing in primary and community care can resume
You can start to order tests as normal, but we ask that you work through any backlog over a period of a few weeks (8 at most), prioritising as required, to spread the demand for tubes.
BHR - Domiciliary phlebotomy services
Following the suspension of non-urgent blood testing, this is a reminder that blood testing, both urgent and routine, in primary and community care should now resume. Referrals to Domiciliary phlebotomy services should continue as usual.

We are pleased to report that in line with the best practice guidance, testing activity in primary and community care can now resume for non-critical phlebotomy referrals.

A letter has been sent to the NHS providing an update on the supply disruption related to BD blood collection products.
