BHRUT has launched a brand-new service which allows patients and GPs to contact a dedicated helpline if they are having difficulty accessing their care or appointment.

BHR directory of services
The new BHR directory of services has been uploaded onto each of the BHR GP intranets and will be maintained by staff at BHRUT who will be acting as champions.
BHRUT - Breast U35 triage
BHRUT has been receiving a very high number of suspected cancer referrals. Whilst the breast service and clinical teams have worked very hard to put on additional weekend and evening capacity, they are unable at this stage to meet the referral demand to see your patients within 14 days.
BHR - Community phlebotomy racking system
Please be reminded that rather than individually bagging specimens, put them into the racks provided, attach the forms to the racks, bag and send them in.
BHRUT - Removal of urea from GP renal profile 28 Feb 2022
The routine requesting of urea on requests received from primary care will cease This is a recommendation from the GIRFT Pathology specialty report and will help them align with Barts Health and other labs that have already implemented this.
Elective Access policy for BHRUT
The Access policy sets out the ways in which the Trust ensures that patients who are referred to BHRUT have fair and equitable access to services and that services themselves have a clear understanding of their roles and responsibilities in line with national performance standards for both elective care and cancer.
