BHR - LHRH agonist injections for prostate cancer: advice from BHRUT
In order to minimise patient attendances at GP surgeries, the Trust’s Oncology leads are recommending that all patients currently receiving monthly LHRH agonist preparations be switched over at the time of their next injection to a three monthly preparation.

BHR - Primary Care Musculoskeletal pathway and referrals
Practices should continue to follow the new musculoskeletal (MSK) pathway for adult patients across Barking and Dagenham, Havering, and Redbridge. This is not currently affected by the Covid-19 incident.
DMC Healthcare Dermatology Service update
In order to maintain the Dermatology services for your area we are now seeing patients remotely. Upon receipt of a referral from primary care we will offer patients the opportunity to have a remote consultation with our consultants via video or telephone with images. Those patients who are unable to access the necessary IT for a remote consultation, will be added to a deferred waiting list for a face to face appointment when it becomes safe to do so.
BHR important update on children and young people and Nebulisers
Some parents and carers have been purchasing Nebulisers for use by their children at home. It is vital to avoid the temptation of prescribing nebules in this case without a clinical assessment of need as issuing them when not absolutely necessary is increasing risk.

A new virtual assessment platform is available from the Queen's Hospital ophthalmology team, allowing telephone triage of patients by a clinician.
