Seasonal Flu programme - Working together to protect our patients
We are all aware of the recent spike in cases in North East London and must do all that we can to protect our patients, particularly those at greatest risk from complications from contracting either of these viruses. It is therefore imperative that we reduce the prospect of the co-circulation of flu and coronavirus in the community this winter by vaccinating more eligible patients than in previous years.

GP process to order central flu stock
From 25 October, you may order flu vaccinations from the Nationally held stock. London Region Immunisation Team is pleased to attach a slide-set that outlines the ordering process.
Additional flu vaccine to support delivery of the seasonal flu vaccination programme
The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) has secured additional flu vaccine to support delivery of this year’s seasonal flu vaccination programme.
Flu jabs: additional funding
Additional funding is available to vaccinate all eligible primary care contractors and their frontline staff for this influenza season.
National flu programme call and recall communications for 2 and 3 year olds
From w/c 11 October national call and recall communications will be sent to all parents/guardians of 2 and 3 year olds eligible for a flu vaccination, via letter, email and text message, advising parents/guardians to contact their GP practice to book a flu vaccination appointment.
