From 1 Feb BHRUT no longer be providing a phlebotomy service for patients referred in on suspected cancer.
As of the beginning of this week patients could have a blood test within one day across BHR and so we ask GPs to ensure they use community phlebotomy.
Cervical screening text reminders- PDS
Currently iPLATO extracts consenting women’s mobile phone numbers from GP clinical systems and read codes the message delivery status into the woman’s clinical record. With effect from 17 January 2022, iPLATO will extract mobile phone numbers of eligible women from the NHS Patient Demographic Service (PDS/Spine) and not the GP clinical system.
Cervical screening sample taker update
The sample taker update includes information on the current reporting backlog and delays in results, and the current audit of the sample taker database. The other document describes the responsibilities of sample takers to ensure their records on the sample taker database are correct.
