Update on Roche incident, 20 October 2020 – routine testing to re-start from Wednesday 21 October 2020

*Update as of Tuesday 20 October 2020 - Confidential, not for sharing more widely*

At the request of your CCG chairs, below is a further update on the ongoing incident regarding supplies of Roche reagent.

The situation continues to improve and as such routine testing can start again from Wednesday 21 October 2020.

Please stagger testing requests and appointments to avoid overwhelming the labs, which are expecting a surge in activity due to the pause.

The position remains not to comment externally on this situation. All communications and briefings are via NHS England to ensure that information to partners is as up to date as possible.

Thank you for your patience, it is much appreciated. This earlier resumption of routine blood tests could not have been achieved without the support of partners across north east London, and of NHS England to manage and mitigate this situation.
