As you will be aware, COVID-19 has had a disproportionate impact on people in areas of high deprivation, Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities, those with a learning disability and others with protected characteristics. We know we need to take specific action to tackle health inequalities.

An NHS England and NHS Improvement national advisory group has identified eight urgent actions for NHS Leaders to tackle health inequalities – from protection, prevention, leadership and data.
