NHS Test & Trace Self Isolation Service Hub

Background

A Ministerial Directive to encourage and support people having to self-isolate due to COVID-19, now means that if someone has been told to self-isolate on or after 28 September 2020, they are under a legal obligation to do so, and could be eligible for a £500 Test and Trace Support Payment if they live in England and meet all the criteria.

Full details of entitlement and how it works can be found here:

In complex settings, it is now crucial that NHS Test & Trace are able to capture all contacts through the CTAS system, so that those individuals are able to claim this financial support (where eligible).  This is because the financial support is only available where people have been formally advised to self-isolate by NHS Test & Trace which will be triggered by these complex settings/employers engaging with us and providing their lists of contacts when they have a positive case in their setting.

Premises where cases have been detected should

  1. Ensure that they have collated their list of appropriate contacts for the positive case in their establishment.
  2. Call the new Service Hub as soon as they have the CTAS ID of the positive case.  020 3743 6715
  3. Advise them that this will ensure that all employees and people impacted by the positive case in their setting who now have to self-isolate, are able to receive a self-isolation support payment if they are eligible.
