Dear all,
We are thrilled to announce that NEL ICB has commissioned EMIS Integration Local Services as the referral platform for general practice to refer patients to community pharmacies for the NHS Community Pharmacy Blood Pressure Check Service.
General practice can now refer patients of ANY age, provided with appropriate clinical rationale, to any participating community pharmacies across NEL for either a clinical blood pressure check, 24hr ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM) or both.
All readings measured at community pharmacies will be recorded and sent back to referring practices via NHS email. This will be the email address that practice has registered with on EMIS and it is the same email address you have been receiving feedback from GP CPCS.
Please contact helpdesk@phpartnership.com if you require support in setting up your email address for responses from pharmacy.
The service is simple to access and is on the EMIS Local Services button, similar to GP CPCS. The pharmacies listed are the pharmacies that have signed up to the service.
Training webinars on how to refer patients for this service via the EMIS Integration Local Services will be announced soon.
NEL LPC and their Community Pharmacy PCN leads will be attending practices to train the team. If you would like training sooner please contact psm@cpnel.org
Kind regards,
NHS North East London Medicines Optimisation Team
