Management of localised community outbreaks of influenza (both in and out of season, also during the Covid pandemic) with antiviral medicines procedure

CCGs are required to commission services locally to respond to alerts from Public Health England (PHE) London Health Protection Teams (HPT) of any localised influenza-like-illness (ILI) outbreaks in community settings. This should include arrangements for the appropriate clinical assessment of patients and timely prescribing and supply of antivirals both in and out of normal working hours, throughout the year.
