IT management and support arrangements are changing

As a result of our recent transition to an Integrated Care Board (ICB), IT management and support arrangements are changing for some practices across north east London.

Inner city boroughs, Tower Hamlets, Newham, Waltham Forest and City and Hackney will see the GP IT Service Management move from the current London Shared Services (LSS) to central support from NHS North East London.

For the most part, there will be minimal changes for the practice, with continuity of service and support remaining our primary goal. For those that log concerns via EMIS / Egton, the process will stay the same with escalation coming through to NHS North East London as required. For Waltham Forest, updated email and phone numbers will be shared to log issues.

Over the course of September, we will move management of IT equipment within practices from the LSS over to the NEL ICB GP IT team. We do not anticipate there being any disruption during this work. Practices will be asked to ensure all devices are switched on during this period to facilitate the migration.
