Information regarding immunosuppression at Homerton

Homerton have provided an update regarding immunosuppression:

  • They are not stopping immunosuppression at present, but if the patient develops new symptoms (i.e. a cough or fever), then they will stop mtx and leflunomide. Sulfasalazine and hydroxychloroquine are safe to remain on.
  • They are stopping all IV biologic infusions and IV/SC osteoporosis therapies.
  • They are pausing all new starters to biologics.
  • They are operating telephone clinics from now on, and will be making a clinical decision as to whether a patient does require a face-to-face consultation.

A document with more info from the BSR is here. All patients need to have flu, pneumococcal and whooping cough vaccinations. More European guidance can be found here.
