Our local hospitals across north east London are currently under huge pressure. This is due to a number of factors not least because of the Covid-19 surge and winter pressures.
It is important we maximise the alternatives for patients where possible. The CCGs are working with our local councils to put out messages to patients encouraging them to seek help from NHS 111 first (see example tweet below) as well as contacting their GP practice in hours.
“When you think you need A&E, just think 111 first. We will help you right away. And if you need urgent care, we’ll book you in to be seen quickly and safely: nhs.uk/111”
Please can you help support by re-tweeting this message which will be on the CCGs’ Twitter feeds:
Please also remind patients that pharmacies are open across London during the festive period, including today and on the New Year bank holidays – more information is available here.
Thank you for your support and co-operation.
