How robust is your COVID-19 practice plan? Examples and guidance

There are some good plans that have been shared that you can access here.

There are two key areas to be addressed in your practice plan:

Practice team

  • Update contact details
  • Identify categories for assessing your team
  • Staff with immunosuppressed conditions
  • Staff who are carers
  • Staff with long term conditions
  • Staff with children who may have child care issues if school closes.

Consider prioritising remote access working for members of your team categorised as high risk and all GPs. You should also consider removing high risk members of staff who are vulnerable from the front-line to work in the back office to minimise exposure.

Remote working

Osman Bhatti, the NEL Clinical Lead for Digital First, has developed guidance on pragmatic solutions for remote working for staff as well as recommendations around how appointments should be configured.
