Homerton Radiology Update

Homerton will be operating the below direct access radiology services from next week.
Patients need to bring a paper copy of the request to the site to pass through security. 
Due to infection control measures, there is limited capacity and so please consider whether the diagnostic has a significant bearing on future management of the patient’s condition before requesting

Direct Access X-Ray

• Available 8-9.30am, 4pm-7.30 on weekdays at Homerton Hospital (main site)
• This is to avoid outpatient clinics and making the hospital too busy
• If patient has COVID symptoms and is not in urgent need of x-ray, they will be turned away at security
• If the x-ray is urgent (for example: TB/fracture ankle?), Homerton will ensure they use the hot site procedure
• Fractures continue to be walk-in

 
Non-Obstetric Ultrasound

• Available Weekdays- at Sir Ludwig Guttmann Centre, Olympic Park, 40 Liberty Bridge Rd E20 1AS

Duty/On-Call Radiologist

• Duty radiologist available before 5pm on weekdays- bleep 341
• Out of Hours- on call available through HUH switchboard

• Patients will be expected to wear a mask when attending- these will be available at sites
