NHS England has produced a new set of materials you can use in your practice that help to educate patients on their choice of access route.
The general practice access route campaign materials—including posters, leaflets and reception counter cards—can be found in the Campaign Resource Centre here.
Locally produced materials on GP access are here https://northeastlondonccg.nhs.uk/news/why-are-gp-practices-working-differently/
The main message of the materials is: there are three ways to get in touch with your GP surgery.
No matter how a patient chooses to access your GP practice, whether it’s using an online form, calling or visiting, they’ll get the help that’s right for them:
- A face-to-face appointment
- A phone or video consultation
- A text message, for example, inviting them for a blood test
- A home visit, or
- A referral to another service.
