COVID -19 Vaccination call recall script and info (TNW)

COVID -19 Vaccination call recall script

For Practice Managers, Administrators, Covid Vaccination Leads and Call & Recall staff

EQUIP (Enabling Quality Improvement in Practice) has been working with practices/teams to understand issues being raised during their call and recall processes.

The team have tried their best to amalgamate the ideas into the attached script. This version of the script has been improved by adding some very detailed frequently answered questions which you may find useful.

Practices need to make this work for them so there may be questions that practices don’t want to ask. Attached is a Word document so practices can edit for individual use.

There are different versions of the script adapted for different boroughs-  (attached for all 3 boroughs)

  • Tower Hamlets
  • Newham
  • Waltham Forest

This document covers the following areas:

  1. Use of COVAC Invite follow up CEG Template EMIS
  2. Use of COVAC Invite follow up CEG Template SystmOne
  3. Coding patient encounter
  4. Recording patient out of the country
  5. Recording deferring or declining patients

Please ensure that contacts with practices are coded on patient record using CEG Template (currently there are no code that has been released by NHS Digital to code contact by telephone or letter so practices have been advised to use the only code available which is contact by text and to record the mode of contact in the free text box as in the example below – there is also an option for failed encounter) – refer to Page 4 of document.
