The MSK services across the CCG, BHRUT and NELFT have procured a digital referral tool called Rego, to help manage referrals for patients with MSK conditions.
The new tool will prevent patient delays for diagnosis and treatment by ensuring that patients are signposted to the correct MSK service (physiotherapy, ESP, orthopaedics, Rheumatology, Pain Management, Neurosurgery) in a timely manner by aiding clinician decision making.
The project team have been busy engaging with you all in your local meetings and plan to present at the monthly learning events. Demos have been shared as well as the pathways for each specialty area.
The CCG GP IT team have been supporting this work and will be key in implementing the software for practice clinical systems.
Next Steps:
- Teaching and adequate training for practices in how to use the new tool will be available and dates for this will be shared.
- Webinars will be held and demo sessions recorded and shared, for you to view at your convenience. Frequently Asked Questions are usually raised in these webinars and demos.
- Project team will ensure the IG process is complete. Installation of software is ready to go ahead once final tests have been done.
- Links to the video / demo and a user guide with information and material for practices will be distributed. In the meantime, please feel free to check out the offline testing platform.
Please feel free to have a try and pass on to your teams!
The Ask for GP Practices
We are asking practices to contact us to provide a list of staff (GPs, FCPs / Physios, Nurses) who will require training (with potential dates or times when those staff would be available) Please contact janet.bartlett@nhs.net or Rebecca.coughlan@nhs.net
Going Forward:
- A dedicated ongoing support desk will be open for practices once the tool has gone live.
- There is a live chat within the system which allows a response and dialogue in seconds while the message window allows leaving a message with contact details and somebody from the Support gets back as soon as possible.
- A feedback loop to learn from referral outcomes will be developed by the team and clinical leads.
