Special arrangements have been put in place to offer BHRUT patients a community setting option for ultrasound or cardiology referrals. The new community pathway starts from Monday 11 May.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, we have seen many patients request a delay to their appointment or request to be seen within a community setting instead. This has led to a slight delay to the appointments that BHRUT have been able to offer. Omnes and BHRUT have worked together to find a solution to continue to deliver care for BHR patients outside of the hospital.
Together with BHRUT and Omnes Healthcare, BHR CCGs have agreed for these referrals to be transferred to Omnes Healthcare for the diagnostic assessment to be undertaken.
Omnes Healthcare currently deliver the Non-Obstetric Ultrasound Service (NOUS) and Diagnostic Cardiology Service within the community for BHR CCGs. They have been working closely with BHRUT to ensure there is a safe transfer of all patient’ records. Omnes Healthcare will also be contacting all patients to offer a choice of location and book patients an appointment.
From Monday 11 May 2020, GPs are asked to send ALL ultrasound referrals (excluding 2WW and Obstetric) and cardiology referrals for 24 hour Blood Pressure monitors, 24 hour ECG monitors, 12 Lead ECG and ECHO directly to Omnes Healthcare and not to BHRUT.
