BARTS
We are upgrading our pathology information management system (LIMS) to improve system performance, test turn-around-times and better support the East and South East London Pathology Partnership. To facilitate this, the system will be down from 9pm on Friday 29th – 2:30pm on Saturday 30th October, inclusive.
Who will this impact?
This will impact people ordering tests from:
- Tower Hamlets CCG
- Waltham Forest CCG
- Newham CCG
- City and Hackney CCG
- East London Foundation Trust (ELFT)
- North East London Foundation Trust (NELFT)
- Homerton University Hospital
- Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals
What do you need to know about how the downtime will impact you and what to do during this period
Please note that turnaround times will be impacted by at least 24hrs for samples received between Friday 29th – Saturday 30th October.
In addition, no new results will transmit to EMIS, Cyberlab and HIE during this period of downtime. After 2:30pm on Saturday 30th, when the new system is live, all results will once again transmit to EMIS, Cyberlab and HIE.
During the downtime, GP surgeries and community locations should continue ordering pathology requests as normal and pathology teams will continue to telephone with all critically urgent results.
